Ian Garry doesn’t have any faith in Colby Covington whatsoever. Garry has mentioned his intentions to fight Covington in the upcoming Conor McGregor comeback event at UFC 303. However, there have been no updates regarding the fight but the Irishman is sure about UFC making offers to Covington.
Garry recently did an interview with ESPN MMA and revealed that UFC had approached Covington about the fight. However, according to Garry, ’Chaos’ doesn’t want to fight and will most probably run away from the opportunity.
Yes, there have been offers, but he hasn’t said yes all we’re waiting on is Colby to say yes and then that’s it, everything can get finalized, but I fully believe that Colby is going to run and he’s not going to fight this fight

The rivalry between Covington and Garry started last year when ‘The Future’ claimed that he would easily beat the American. It led to Colby Covington making fun of Garry’s controversial situation with his wife Layla Ann Lee.
Since then, Garry has been focused on fighting Covington inside the octagon, however, things have not gone according to plan. But this time at the upcoming UFC 303, Garry might finally get his opportunity. With McGregor on the card, Garry is looking forward to an Irish whitewash.

Conor McGregor‘s comeback at UFC 303 is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated events in 2024. Ian Garry has recently shown his interest in being in the co-main event of the card alongside his fellow Irishman.

Garry talked about the historical significance of having both McGregor and him on the main card. The fighter revealed that it would be like a total Irish takeover of Irish fighters inside the UFC.
For me, I would love to main and co-main it together because it would be the first time in Irish history that we’ve had two Irish fighters main and co-main of a PPV event….The takeover part 2 has happened…It would be incredible for out nation.

Garry is a huge fan of McGregor and has talked about trying to replicate everything that the ‘Mystic Mac’ did inside the promotion. The fighter has already gained massive popularity and UFC is well aware of that. However, he still gets criticized by a faction of MMA fans for his emulation of his Irish compatriot. Only time will tell if the fighter will finally get to be part of UFC 303.
