Dan Hooker may have just revealed a massive piece of information the UFC had been keeping secret from the public. Once, one of the most active contenders at middleweight, Israel Adesanya has been on a break for a while. However, teammate Dan Hooker might have just revealed when the two-time middleweight champion will be making his highly anticipated comeback.

Dan Hooker recently did an interview with Combat TV NZ. During the discussion, Hooker revealed how he wanted to fight at UFC 305 because his teammates Kai Kara France and Israel Adesanya were on the card too.

Hooker, Adesanya, and Kai Kara-France are teammates at City Kickboxing. ‘Hangman’ revealed that the UFC initially did not want him on the card at UFC 305. They seemed to have pushed him down for later this year. However, the UFC lightweight said he stood his ground and finally secured his spot on the card.

UFC 305 will take place this August at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia. Hooker who resides in nearby New Zealand felt he deserved to be in the fight. Moreover, Israel Adesanya was rumored to be in line to fight champion Dricus Du Plessis for the middleweight title again. However, this was not the only secret Hooker had revealed about ‘The Last Stylebender’.

Dan Hooker reveals Israel Adesanya was fighting with injuries

In a recent interview with Combat TV, Dan Hooker gave an update on Israel Adesanya’s health. ‘The Last Stylebender’ has consecutively fought back-to-back title fights since 2019. ‘Hangman’, revealed that Adesanya had walked into many of these fights with unhealed injuries.

Adesanya had taken off from fighting for a while after his loss against Sean Strickland at UFC 293. Hooker revealed that the former champion has spent time recovering from those injuries and improving himself physically.

People had no idea like the amount of injuries he was carrying into like all of those fights because he was so quiet about it and just kept so active, like just kept pushing through. But it got to the point where it’s just like now it’s starting to affect your performance and you’re losing to guys who you should cakewalk.

The ‘Kiwi’ revealed that Adesanya has recovered from his injuries and is performing incredibly in sparring. The former champion supposedly grabbed him the other day in sparring and Hooker was shocked by his strength. ‘Hangman’ claimed Israel Adesanya is currently the biggest and strongest he has ever seen him.
