“The Big Three,” as they were famously referred to, comprising LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh, was a juggernaut of a trio during the 2010–2014 era of the Miami Heats.
There were never answers on how to stop them but questions as to who was the most important out of the three. And maybe Udonis Haslem has the answers.
The highly touted talent LeBron James, who joined the Miami Heat in 2010, quickly became a fan favorite and part of a trio that would be the talk of the topic for a while.
But Haslem, who was part of that dynamic team, had a rather strong case to put forward, stating that LeBron James wasn’t the most important out of the three and that it was none other than Chris Bosh.
Everybody think that our most important player was Bron. Our most important player, not our best player, but our most important player was CB [Chris Bosh]. He was our most important player because if Bron went down, you could bring in D-Wade, and it’s not the same player, but you’re gonna get similar results.
Said Haslem in the latest episode of ‘The OGs podcast’.
Back-to-back Champions in 2012 and 2013, there was no arguing that a team of some of the best players at the top of their form with a player in the name of LeBron James on the rise to the top was a threat to many till their unfortunate trade at the end, ending an era.
But to put forward an argument on Chris Bosh being the more important player was a shock to many, and a topic of discussion is still open.
The Miami Heat’s ‘Big Three’ reign
The Big Three, comprising LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh, was one hell of a trio in the NBA a decade ago. From their pure dominance on the court to a partnership that was impossible to stop, it wasn’t even a fair game when a team had those three calibers of players.
With a dominance ranging from 2010 to 2014, the trio went on to win back-to-back NBA championships, where both years LeBron James was awarded the MVP award.

As for Wade, he played for the Heats his entire career and was a team veteran. But everything clicked with the arrival of those two famous free trades, marking what would be one of the greatest partnerships in NBA history.
While many questioned how it worked, in a few years it was a question of how to stop them, showcasing their dominance in what an era for the Miami Heat.
