Chicago Bulls star, Zach LaVine has been making the headlines lately after former NBA legend Kendrick Perkins‘ recent comments regarding him on the NBA Today Show. Notably, as per various reports, the Bulls are looking to trade one of the best players on their roster in Lavine. However, this did not go down well with Perkins.
NBA veteran Kendrick Perkins discussed the situation involving Zach LaVine and the Chicago Bulls this week on NBA Today. Following the release of a report that criticized LaVine for his refusal to comply, Perkins came in support of the player and explained why the Bulls should share some of the blame for the mishap.
Who is this source that’s the first question I have to ask because they’re out of line. Passing the blame all on Zach LaVine when what has the Bulls front office done lately… Did they win in free agency? No. Did they win with draft picks? No…I just want to know who that source is.

In addition, LaVine seems to be at cross-ends with the Bulls as they seek to trade him before the start of the 2024-25 NBA season. Also, he hasn’t played for the team since seeking a move the previous season. It’s important to note that, LaVine was injured during most of the 2023-24 NBA season, resulting in him falling out with the franchise as well as the Bulls fans.

Zach LaVine and the Chicago Bulls are at cross-ends with each other as the Bulls star seeks a move away from the decorated franchise. Notably, an NBA insider, Jamal Collier of ESPN provided a “full breakdown” between LaVine and the Bulls fall-out, claiming LaVine lately “felt singled out.”
LaVine has also felt singled out during film sessions and feels like he has taken too much blame for the team’s losing during his tenure — which has produced one playoff appearance in seven years — despite other roster failings.

Interestingly, over the previous seven seasons, LaVine, a two-time All-Star, has averaged 24.2 points on 47.1 percent shooting. Despite the Bulls star not playing most of the 2023-24 season, he has been one of the crucial players for the franchise. However, any trade deal for LaVine won’t be easy for the Bulls due to his massive contract, he will have to prove his worth on the court before securing a trade deal.
