Colby Covington recently posted a reel on his official Instagram account where the fighter blasted the 2024 Paris Olympics as ’woke’. Covington strongly criticized the basketball team from Team USA, particularly of LeBron James. The four-time NBA champion has never before replied to the ‘Chaos’, but the UFC welterweight has often criticized him.

Covington has not been seen in the cage since his unanimous decision loss against Leon Edwards in December. The fighter was dominated throughout the fight, losing his third title of his professional career. After the bout, the welterweight revealed a foot issue that hampered his performance. Now that he is healed, Covington has decided to stay on the sidelines rather than fight Ian Garry.
Nonetheless, Covington was not the only combatant who criticized the Olympic presentation ceremony. Islam Makhachev, the UFC lightweight champion, also reacted negatively to the ceremony for disrespecting all religions. On the other hand, the argument between Covington and James has been ongoing for some time.

The feud between Colby Covington and LeBron James started when the basketball star publicly supported the ‘Defund the Police’ movement. This took place following the death of George Floyd who was killed by the police during an arrest. This prompted Covington to bash James on various occasions. The fighter has also asked James to go to China for not respecting and sitting during the national anthem.

During an interview with FULL SEND PODCAST, Colby Covington talked about his meeting with LeBron James at the Miami Design District. According to the fighter, when he tried to talk to the NBA star, his security begged him to not escalate the situation. According to Covington, he let go of James with a stern warning.

According to the fighter, Muhammad is currently on steroids which helped him win against Leon Edwards.
