In recent years, the world of combat sports has been no stranger to heated verbal confrontations. One particularly notable figure in this regard is the ‘Notorious’ Conor McGregor. Most recently, McGregor made headlines by publicly criticizing the new music release of YouTuber/boxer KSI. However, hours later, the 31-year-old boxer responded with an impactful comeback to McGregor’s initial comments.
Conor McGregor and KSI have been embroiled in a long-standing feud that originated from banter between the Misfits founder and Dillon Danis in 2022. Recently, McGregor reignited the beef while responding to KSI’s newly-released song ‘Thick of It.’ In response, the 31-year-old boxer appeared to retaliate against McGregor’s disses and even made some allegations against the Irishman.
Conor McGregor has frequently been scrutinized for his activities outside the fighting ring. As a result, many, including KSI, often speculate about the possibility of the Notorious being involved with intoxicating substances. Nevertheless, the Irishman has consistently refuted these allegations. Recently, McGregor has even publicly shared the results of his drug test to disprove these claims.

While reacting to KSI’s latest music release, Conor McGregor took the opportunity to challenge the 31-year-old boxer to a fight. It’s worth noting that this isn’t the first time McGregor has expressed interest in fighting the Misfits founder. A year ago, he challenged the 31-year-old boxer to a bare-knuckle bout with no reply from KSI. Meanwhile, McGregor isn’t the only one criticizing KSI’s new music release.
Matchroom CEO reacts to KSI’s new music release
KSI is an up-and-coming boxer who began his professional boxing career in 2019. Since then, he has fought six times and won 4 of those matches. The YouTuber’s most recent fight was against Tommy Fury in October 2023. During that fight, the Misfits founder experienced his first defeat in his professional career. Interestingly, Matchroom CEO Eddie Hearn played a significant role in KSI’s boxing career.
Eddie Hearn promoted the 31-year-old boxer’s professional debut fight against fellow influencer and current business partner Logan Paul. KSI impressed many, including the Matchroom CEO, after winning the fight. However, despite being a fan of the 31-year-old, Hearn didn’t like the new music release from the Misfits founder.

Aside from his music releases, KSI appears to be enjoying his time as a promoter and businessman. Since Tommy Fury’s loss, he hasn’t stepped back into the boxing ring. Now, with McGregor expressing interest in a fight, it will be intriguing to see how things develop.
