Donald Cerrone is one of the most popular American fighters in the history of the promotion. The 41-year-old is a legend of the sport with over 50 professional fights in his MMA career. Years after his retirement, Cerrone has again made headlines however, this time fans are not happy about it.
Donald Cerrone recently shared a YouTube video on his official YouTube channel where he answered a couple of questions about his career. However, his comments involving Russian Muslim fighters and Tim Kennedy went viral for all the wrong reasons.
My favorite thing about Tim Kennedy is he’s like as American as apple pie. so we’re at Jackson’s and any of the Russian Muslim fighters would come in, oh Timmy would take it upon himself to just take down smother and absolutely destroy these dudes…He would just annihilate and I loved it.

Tim Kennedy was one of the most popular fighters who had a background in the military. Kennedy is well respected for his achievements in the military, reaching up to the level of Master Sergeant and also being awarded the Bronze Star Medal by the US government.
Both Cerrone and Kennedy trained with each other at the JacksonWink MMA Academy, a mixed martial arts gym in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This was where according to the Hall of Famer, Kennedy would fight Russian Muslim fighters.

Tim Kennedy used to fight in the StrikeForce before joining UFC. On the other hand, Cerrone fought most of his bouts in the UFC before retirement in 2022. He was also inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame for his contribution to the promotion.
