Steve Kerr‘s team suffered the biggest NBA loss of the season on Thursday as the Memphis Grizzlies crushed the Golden State Warriors 144-93. Stephen Curry played for over ten minutes and failed to score a field goal for the first time in his NBA career.

Draymond Green had no assists or points, committed four turnovers, four personal fouls, and drew a delay of game call. His -42 plus/minus, per ESPN’s Tim Bontemps, was the worst ever for a player logging under 20 minutes. Yet, it was Steph Curry’s disastrous performance that stole the spotlight.

Curry shot just 2 points (2 free throws) in the whole game against the Grizzlies. This left many fans concerned, with some calling for his retirement. One fan wrote on X, “He bout to retire before Bron at this pace.” Curry was also not productive on the other aspects of the game, as he had just 3 rebounds and 1 assist against the Grizzlies.

Warriors allowed 21 or more three-pointers for the second consecutive game. 11 Grizzlies made three-pointers. Jonathan Kuminga shot an unsatisfactory 1-for-9 from the field and 7-for-10 from the free throw line.

The Grizzlies were led by reserve forward Santi Aldama, who finished with 21 points, 14 rebounds, four assists, two steals, and one block. Memphis now owns the season’s two most lopsided wins. Their victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on November 10 by 45 points set the previous record.

This performance was probably the worst-ever the 4-time NBA champion has recorded in his career. While many were left disappointed with Curry’s performance, many trolled him as well.

Fans took to various apps to put forward their views and frustration towards the Golden State Warriors star on X. Curry was 0 for 7 overall and 0 for 6 from beyond the arc. He only made two free throws. Check out some of the fan reactions to Curry’s performance below:

The Warriors are now (14-12) in the NBA after their recent loss to the Grizzlies. They now sit at 10th place in the West. Up next for the Warriors is another tough outing, against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday.
