With overcast weather not threatening enough to cause even a brief interruption in the start of play unlike yesterday, the last day of the ongoing second Ashes 2023 Test match between England and Australia is up and running in full force. However, as was the case on Day 4, session timings today will be in slight variation to what they are in the general run of things in Tests played in this country.
That said, a maximum of 96 overs can be bowled to achieve a result on the final day of the match. Like any other Test match, 15 overs will have to be bowled in the final hour to ensure that both the teams are given a best shot at registering an outright victory. These 60 minutes, however, can be increased to accommodate the aforementioned number of overs.
For the uninitiated, both the teams have a golden opportunity of securing a win today. While all the four results are possible, it seems that one of the two teams will take the honours by the end of the day taking into consideration the match situation.

As far as the Indian fans are concerned, they will have to make changes with respect to their time zone. Having said that, the third session would easily end before midnight.
