Anthony Edwards had himself a career-best night on Saturday as he dropped his highest-ever 53 points against the Detroit Pistons. Despite embarking on such an important record, the accomplishment was not the only thing Ant-Man received praise for. The star made a wonderful gesture to a young cancer patient.
Luca, a six-year-old Minnesota Timberwolves fan, sat courtside to watch Anthony Edwards‘ incredible outing. Luca who is currently battling Leukaemia met with Edwards after the game and gave him a wristband that said ‘Love like Luca’. Ant-Man immediately wore the band and made a promise.
You know what Luca, I’ll wear this the rest of my career, on my left armband just for you, alright?

Later, Ant-Man introduced his teammates to Luca and helped him give them the wristbands as well. With the touching gesture, Edwards even kept his promise as he was seen wearing the orange wristband for the next back-to-back games.

After the loss against the Pistons, Edwards is undefeated while wearing Luca’s wristband. The 23-year-old dropped 37 and 32 points respectively in the win against the Clippers and Pelicans. It is safe to say that Edwards is certainly looking to stick to his promise.

Despite Edwards putting on a show, the Timberwolves faced an embarrassing loss against the Pistons. None of Ant-Man’s teammates were even able to reach the 20-point mark. However, that did not stop NBA fans from showing love to the only standing soldier. With the career-high performance, fans were also moved by the Timberwolves guard’s heartwarming gesture with the 6-year-old Luca.

Luca’s wristband is seemingly bringing luck to Edwards as the star broke a franchise’s record in the last three games. Ant-Man has scored a total of 122 points which is the Wolves’ record for most points scored by an individual player in the span of three games.
