Despite being favored to win, the Celtics had no chance as the Lakers won this game because of their excellent defense and sizzling shooting. Notably, this win was special for many reasons, especially according to Lakers star, Anthony Davis.

Meanwhile, Anthony Davis scored 24 points (9-18 FG), 8 rebounds, and 3 blocks. Gabe Vincent had a solid bench performance with 12 points (4-8 FG). In addition, Austin Reaves finished with 23 points (7-13 FG) and six assists.

With this victory, the Lakers increase to 24-18, their most number of games above .500 this season. Although their potential to compete for a championship will be questioned. This is until they make some trade moves. Also, the squad is establishing itself as a playoff threat. It means the Lakers are right in the middle of the competitive Western Conference.
Celtics star Jaylen Brown opens up on harsh defeat to Lakers
After upsetting the Clippers in a shocking overtime result last night, the Celtics are now 31-14 after dropping this game against the Lakers in a back-to-back. With a 10-9 record in their last 19 games, they have appeared fragile, which has allowed the Cleveland Cavaliers to easily win the top spot. Their star, Jaylen Brown also agreed to this after the loss against the Lakers.

It was a freezing shooting night, and the Celtics simply couldn’t compete. Brown scored 17 points (7-19 FG) and pulled down eight boards. Also, Kristaps Porzingis scored 22 points (9-16 FG) and pulled down seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Jayson Tatum struggled with 16 points (5-12 FG), no other Celtic player scored more than ten points apart from these 3. The Celtics were held to below 100 points. It is a sight that happens very rarely, considering the players that they possess on their roster.
