In a recent interview with The Lallantop, director Anees Bazmee shed light on an interesting behind-the-scenes tidbit about Katrina Kaif’s voice being dubbed in Welcome. Bazmee revealed that Katrina, who was still in the process of learning Hindi at the time, had her voice dubbed to ensure clear diction in the film. However, Bazmee shared that Katrina lent her own voice for his 2008 film, Singh Is Kinng, showcasing her dedication to mastering the language.

Recalling his experience of working with Katrina on Welcome, Bazmee praised the actress for her hard work and commitment to learning Hindi during the filming of the comedy. He expressed a desire to assist Katrina in perfecting her diction but ultimately decided to have her voice dubbed by another artist to maintain authenticity.
