Ian Garry will take on Michael โ€˜Venomโ€™ Page in the main card of the upcoming UFC 303 in Las Vegas. In a fight between two great strikers, there are many speculations revolving around. However, former UFC featherweight champion, Alexander Volkanovski has suggested a different game plan for Garry.ย 

Alexander Volkanovski recently shared a video on his YouTube channel where he broke down the main card of UFC 303. While talking about Ian Garry vs. Michael Page, Volkanovski pointed out Garryโ€™s impressive jiu-jitsu skills. Volkanovski talked about his BJJ coach Craig Jones training with Ian Garry. According to Volkanovski, Garry was eager to learn and has also trained with experts like Charles Oliveira.ย 

He’s actually got legit jiu-jitsu. I know Craig Jones was grappling with him and he was very eager to learn and quite crafty. He’s been training over there with the guys, I think Charles Oliveira and stuff. So you could imagine the jiu-jitsu he’s getting as well. I think wrestling jiu-jitsu might be the way to go for him.

Volkanovski clarified that while Michael Page is renowned for his ability to fight from a distance. As such, Garry could be better off approaching the battle with a BJJ strategy. MVP has forewarned Garry about the punishment he plans to deliver to the fighter during the match. The former Bellator star is not a big fan of Garry and has also called him a BBL version of Conor McGregor.

On the other side, Garry has revealed that he has no interest in fighting MVP and doesnโ€™t even consider him a legend. โ€˜The Futureโ€™ mocked Page for not winning a championship belt throughout his long MMA career. Garry is currently undefeated and would like to continue his streak and already has some big plans for his future.

The sole motivation behind Ian Garryโ€™s fight with Michael Page was to share a card with Conor McGregor. McGregorโ€™s injury forced him to withdraw from the bout, which put an end to Garryโ€™s ambitious plan. The fighter is now eager to beat Page and then turn his attention to his future goals in the welterweight division.ย
