The Brazilian is making his second main event matchup this year after headlining UFC 300 just two months back. Holloway said Bruce Buffer should announce ‘Poatan’ in the grandest way possible.

Pereira will headline UFC 303 after replacing Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler matchup on short notice. His opponent will be former light-heavyweight champion Jiri Prochazka whom he beat last year in November at UFC 295 to become the 205lb champion.
This title fight will be his second title defense after beating Jamahal Hill, another former champion, at UFC 300. That fight too was a short-notice matchup, which initially would have happened at UFC 301. Alex Pereira has become the UFC’s go-to guy to save the day. This is why Max Holloway said that Buffer should announce Pereira as “The One, The Only” just like Conor McGregor and Jon Jones.
