Recently fans saw former UFC stars Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz fight it out in the boxing ring. That same night, former UFC contender, Darren Till also made his boxing debut at Social Knockout 3. He recently made some interesting comments about his fellow former UFC fighters’ showdown in the boxing ring.

Darren Till recently sat down for a conversation on The MMA Hour. During his conversation with Ariel Helwani, “The Gorilla” said that he respects both Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz. However, he was not particularly impressed by what he saw in the boxing ring the other night in California. According to Till the showdown majorly lacked power.

I wasn’t impressed mate. Just like, fluffy hands, just not a lot of power, both looked like they wasn’t in no fit physical shape.

He previously fought Masvidal in the main event at UFC Fight Night 147. Till admitted in the interview that Masvidal beat him fair and square. As for Diaz, Till revealed that he has been a fan ever since he was a kid so he does not like to diss Diaz too much.

Meanwhile, Till walked away with the win in his own fight at Social Knockout 3 after his opponent Moh Mutie announced he was unable to continue. Thus “The Gorilla” won via TKO marking his first win since 2019. Darren Till was on the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson before it got postponed to later this year.

Darren Till was previously on his way to fight Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. on the undercard of Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson. However. The fight fell through, so his showdown with Mohammad Mutie in Dubai was his first showdown since he left the UFC.

In his appearance on “The MMA Hour,” Till revealed that while his boxing payday was “little” it was the best he had ever made since he left the UFC. The former UFC title contender was struggling since he left the promotion back in 2022.

Till’s fight ended in a major drama after his opponent claimed that Till hit him in the back of the head. He even proceeded to take Till down in the ring. In the interview, Till admitted that he hit Mutie in the back of the head with a jab. However, he was not too upset about the post-fight brawl as it went viral on social media.
