Nevertheless, Bobby Green has taken it a step further. The UFC veteran recently made headlines by legally changing his name. This bold move caught the attention of his upcoming opponent, Paddy Pimblett

Bobby Green, whose nickname is ‘King’ has now legally changed his name to “King Green.” The brash Liverpool native Pimblett couldn’t resist poking fun at Green’s new name. The lightweight rising star took to Instagram with a cheeky post. He shared a photoshopped image of himself as the “Kingslayer” from Game of Thrones.

‘Kingslayer’ is a term that is a reference to the character of Jamie Lannister from the popular HBO show Game of Thrones. Pimblett believed that he would finish Green in their upcoming bout; therefore, his apt name is Kingslayer. The duo is set to fight on July 28th in the UFC 304 main card.

Paddy Pimblett is coming off a win over fan-favourite Tony Ferguson at UFC 296. He won the fight via unanimous decision. On the other hand, Green defeated Jim Miller at UFC 300 by a unanimous decision. Whether Pimblett succeeds in becoming the ‘Kingslayer’ or not remains to be seen.

Fighters are known to size up their opponents before stepping into the Octagon. Bobby ‘King’ Green is no exception. The veteran lightweight shared his thoughts on his upcoming rival, Paddy Pimblett. Green’s assessment of “The Baddy” is a curious mix of praise and criticism.

Green acknowledged Pimblett’s skills but had an issue with his mouth. He revealed that Pimblett didn’t know when to stop talking. However, the lightweight veteran had nothing bad to say about his fighting skills. Green’s colorful commentary painted a vivid picture of the Liverpool native. 

This is my next lesson for him: He’s solid, he’s not bad. He’s not a bad fighter at all. The problem is, he won’t shut the f*ck up. Shut the f*ck up and smile.

He described Pimblett as a stupid kid with a stupid haircut, referencing his bowl cut. Moreover, the veteran advised the rising star to keep quiet and let his fists do the talking in the octagon.
