Nate Diaz began smoking weed at a young age. The former UFC star did not stop even while he was in the promotion. Diaz recently recalled one of the instances when he was in the same elevator as UFC CEO, Dana White while being extremely high on edible marijuana.
Nate Diaz recently sat down for a conversation with Demetrious Johnson. During their discussion, the Stockton native recalled a story when he consumed too many weed cookies, brought by his brother’s partner. Shortly after that, he came in close quarters with the then UFC President, Dana White.
Bro, one time, we ate some weed cookies… I ate way too much of that sh**. I was f**king scared sh*tless. And we got in an elevator. Dana White got in the elevator with us.

White greeted the Diaz brothers and they greeted him back. They went down and stopped at a floor and the elevator doors opened. But nobody got out. The fighting duo were too stoned to realize it was their floor. They went to the bottom floor, which was when they realized that the previous stop was when they had to get out.
He also recalled getting on an airplane while on the same edibles. The former UFC star was paranoid throughout the entire flight. Diaz recalled he decided never to consume such edibles ever again. Funnily, Diaz revealed that he has consumed similar marijuana cookies around twenty times since.

As per Diaz’s narration, he did not even know he tore his meniscus. He was training, and could hardly even walk. Diaz and Masvidal were going to headline Madison Square Garden and Donald Trump would be present as the first president to ever attend the UFC. So Diaz went out and fought Masvidal with an injury.
