Conor McGregor made a post on X ahead of the Nate Diaz vs. Jorge Masvidal boxing match. McGregor revealed that he had put $500,000 on Diaz to win the fight. The UFC superstar believed that Masvidal could not cause any problems for Diaz in a boxing ring whatsoever.
The Stockton native delivered, walking down ‘Gamebred’ across the 10 rounds. While Masvidal landed a few good shots of his own, Diaz ultimately walked away with the majority decision win. Meanwhile, ‘The Notorious’s $500k investment on Diaz yielded him a whopping $1,625,000.

The Notorious also revealed that he would use the money as “yacht fuel.” ‘The Notorious’ owns a custom-built Lamborghini Tecnomar yacht. The cost of the yacht itself was reported to be around $3.6 million. Diaz on the other will look forward to capitalizing on this win and try to cash in before he retires from combat sports. His opponent, Masvidal has also expressed a desire to fight Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul in the future. Therefore, it looks like the trend of cross-over boxing will continue for the foreseeable future.
