Nate Diaz isn’t content with boxing glory despite coming off a fresh victory over Jorge Masvidal. The Stockton native has his eyes on a bigger prize. Diaz wasted no time calling out UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards. It seems old habits die hard for the MMA veteran.

Nate Diaz‘s post-fight interview was vintage Nate – bold, brash, and utterly unpredictable. After all, he’d just won a boxing match, not an MMA fight. The ex-UFC fighter, however, is still not over his UFC aspirations. The title fight callout is a testament to that.

My main objective has always been to be the best fighter in the world, so I want to go back and get a UFC title…Leon Edwards, Jake Paul, and anybody the f*** else. You’re dead.

Diaz also called out Jake Paul, who bested him in their 2023 boxing match. Diaz and Leon Edwards have also fought at UFC 263, where ‘Rocky’ won that fight via decision. It seems like Nate Diaz is calling fighters out who beat him to avenge the losses. After all, he succeeded in getting one loss redeemed today against Jorge Masvidal.

Diaz has not competed in MMA since 2022. This was after he secured a submission win over Tony Ferguson. His trilogy with Conor McGregor remains a topic of speculation after hinting at fighting McGregor at the Sphere. However, White had thrown cold water over this notion. Now it is up to Diaz and the UFC brass to figure out if the Stockton native can return to the UFC under the right circumstances.

Few duos in combat sports are as iconic as the Diaz brothers. Nate and Nick Diaz have long been a package deal in fans’ minds. This weekend, something was different. Nate stepped into the ring against Jorge Masvidal without his older brother Nick by his side. It might have something to do with elder Diaz brother making a comeback.

Nevertheless, the younger Diaz emerged victorious against Jorge Masvidal in their highly anticipated boxing match. Yet, in the afterglow of his win, Nate’s thoughts turned to his absent sibling. He believed that his brother’s presence would have made his victory more decisive. Check out what the ex-UFC fighter said in the tweet below.

For years, Nick has been Nate’s cornerstone, his north star in the chaotic world of fighting. The Diaz brothers have always pushed each other to new heights. Nick’s presence often sparked an extra fire in Nate’s performances. Next month, Nick Diaz himself would make a return to the UFC after nearly three years. He will fight Vicente Luque in August to make it 2-0 Diaz Brothers in 2024.
