Everybody knows about Nate Diaz‘s relationship with marijuana. The UFC star has advocated it for the longest time and has also gotten in a lot of trouble with the promotion. In a recent interview, Diaz shed light on how he passed drug tests while smoking marijuana and the steroid-using athletes in the industry.
Nate Diaz recently went on the ‘ALL THE SMOKE’ podcast. During their conversation, Nate Diaz talked about passing tests while smoking weed and why he did not mind fighting athletes who used PEDs.

Diaz revealed the story of how he started smoking young. While Diaz smokes a lot, according to the Stockton native, he is nowhere close to the amount of weed his elder brother, Nick Diaz would smoke. The older Diaz brother famously got into trouble with the promotion because of fighting with marijuana in the system and that put a major setback to his career.
However, Nick Diaz is making a comeback this August at UFC on ABC 7. On the other hand, a member of Diaz’s team revealed that it was because of Nate Diaz that marijuana is now legal in the UFC. While it is true that the UFC has removed marijuana from its list of banned substances, fighters can still be penalized under state commission laws like in California.

Nate Diaz has too many weed stories to count on one hand, or two. The former UFC star started smoking at a young age. He also was one of the youngest fighters in the promotion, debuting way back in 2007. He recently recalled one of his colorful marijuana stories in a recent interview with Demetrious Johnson.

Feeling too stoned to handle the situation, Diaz found himself in an awkward and uncomfortable position, unable to properly engage with the UFC CEO. He also recalled getting on an airplane and because of the edibles, he spent the entire ride in paranoia. He decided never to try it again, but interestingly has consumed it around twenty times since.
