Conor McGregor is one of the most popular fighters in all of MMA. As such, he never fails to steal the spotlight. The Irish superstar recently proved this once again at a Bellator Dublin event. ‘The Notorious’ highlighted his recent injury that led to his withdrawal from the UFC 303 event.

Conor McGregor took over the microphone after a fight. He wasn’t there to discuss Bellator, though. Instead, he addressed his UFC withdrawal. The former two-division champion was originally set to face Michael Chandler at UFC 303. However, a broken toe forced him to withdraw from the highly anticipated bout.

I had a little lapse of concentration, I had to reschedule the bout. I’m a little upset about that, but it’s keeping me dialed in, it’s keeping me focused … that’s not bad for me.

The Irishman was at the event, cornering Sinead Kavanagh at the Bellator Dublin event. Kavanagh lost the bout to Arlene Blencowe, but the event gave McGregor a platform to showcase his thoughts and plans for a comeback. McGregor’s teammate had recently stated that McGregor would potentially return in September. However, it does not seem so positive after all.

White emphasized that McGregor’s health was the primary concern before any return talks. Plus, he revealed they had a stacked schedule for the foreseeable future. McGregor also had recently vowed to fight only when he was at 100%. However, whether that coincides with the UFC’s plans remains to be seen.
