"Will not f**k with me!" Cam Newton asserts he could easily beat LeBron James in Madden – FirstSportz

Is Cam Newton a better Madden player compared to LeBron James? The former NFL quarterback proudly announced he is.

Newton was shooting the recent episode of his 4th and 1 podcast when co-host ‘Peggy’ fired off a video about Madden. In it, Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis revealed that his teammate LeBron James was good enough to beat an 800th-ranked gamer on Madden.

This sent Newton into a frenzy calling Davis’ revelation ‘cap’ or information to be taken with a grain of salt. The former Carolina Panthers QB claimed that if any gamer plays with the best team, he should not be considered the best Madden player.

Big cap. You’re not considered the best if you’re playing with the best teams… A lot of [these] gamers are getting bailed out by having the best player. If you’re playing with Patrick Mahomes in Madden, that’s a cheat code.
Cam Newton ranted

He challenged everyone who calls themselves the best Madden gamers to use players who are 85 overall or lower. When Peggy questioned Newton about challenging James to a Madden Dual, he replied that he had respect for the 4 time NBA champion but claimed the Lakers superstar cannot beat him.

I know he can’t beat me. That’s just, put it like that. He don’t got enough time to be dedicated to beat me. He will not f**k with me.

Newton pointed out that gamers who don’t have a 9 to 5 job like James have ample time to get good in the game. So even if James practiced diligently, he would find it tough to win a game.

Cam Newton doesn’t know LeBron James has 500 wins in Madden

Anthony Davis in the video claimed that James plays 15 to 20 games on Madden regularly, which is why he believes the 39-year-old can take on a seasoned veteran of the video game. In February, James reached a personal milestone that perhaps skipped Newton’s watchful eye.

NBA on ESPN on Instagram shared a screenshot from James’ account which read that 4 time NBA Finals MVP had 500 wins in Madden.

That statistic is mindboggling, to say the least. Despite the sensational record, there’s one thing King James can never achieve, appearing on the cover of Madden. However, Newton almost made it.

Back in 2013, the Auburn graduate missed out to the Detroit Lions legendary winger Calvin Johnson.

Newton revealed he would have received a royalty of $1 million from EA if he became the Madden cover athlete. That ship has sailed and perhaps will never return.
