Ian Garry is among the most talented prospects in the UFC welterweight division. Despite being relatively new in the promotion, the Irish fighter has successfully built a name for himself. The Irishman is undefeated and will fight Michael ‘Venom’ Page at UFC 303. However, he doesn’t seem to respect Page’s massive experience.

Ian Garry has always been known for his trash talk and for taking the same route to success as Conor McGregor. The fighter is eager to advance to the next level to become a global sensation, just like ‘The Notorious.’ In a recent video posted on Instagram, Garry expressed his refusal to recognize Michael Page as a legend.

He’s a legend?… I believe I’m levels above him in every single way, shape and form…You guys think this guys good? Okay. I’ll use him as an example.

Page is an influential and popular fighter with a unique style and memorable performances, especially during his time in Bellator. The fighter has given several spectacular knockouts that have gone viral, further solidifying his fame in the MMA community. While MVP might not have any championship belts under his name, his popularity cannot be questioned.

Fans anticipate Page and Ian Garry’s bout at UFC 303 since they are both well-known for their striking. Garry had thought of fighting under the same card as McGregor, but with the recent pull-out, that dream appeared to be intact for later. However, regarding Page, McGregor’s absence doesn’t seem to bother the British striker.

Since the fight’s announcement, Ian Garry has gone full out in promoting the fight. The fighter has even mocked Michael Page in an attempt to stir a rivalry. However, Page recognized all these tactics and accused Garry of making unnecessary noise to create engagement among fans. Page is focused on winning at UFC 303 and trying to call out big names such as Kamaru Usman.

MVP recently conversed with popular reporter Chamatkar Sandhu where he revealed that Garry has a fake personality. According to Page, fans don’t like the Irishman because he tries too hard to get attention. Page mentioned that nothing really matters to him as he considers Garry just another opponent.

In terms of his personality, it feels a bit fake, it feels a bit like he’s trying too hard to be famous… People don’t like that which is why he’s got such a negative appeal online. I don’t really care, he’s just another step on the ladder to get to the top

Page is excited to get inside the octagon with Garry and has warned the fighter to be ready to suffer throughout the fight. He has also mocked Garry for being a fake version of Conor McGregor. With welterweight champion Leon Edwards putting his money on Page against Garry, it would be interesting to see who wins at UFC 304.
