The RAC Arena in Perth, Australia will host the highly anticipated showdown. The reigning champion Dricus Du Plessis will make his first title defense against the former two-time champion, and as per fans, this fight was long due. The duo were supposed to clash at UFC 293 but the fight could not happen due to Du Plessis’s untimely pull-out.

This is where the trouble with the fans comes in. Adesanya still headlined UFC 293 but ‘Stillknocks’ was replaced by Sean Strickland. ‘Tarzan’ defeated Adesanya to become the new middleweight champion. However, he lost it to Du Plessis by a controversial split decision at UFC 297. Many, including Dana White, believed he won that fight.
Strickland unsuccessfully pushed for an immediate rematch. He then beat Paulo Costa in his next fight at UFC 302 and has now demanded a title fight for his next match. Meanwhile, Adesanya is stepping in for an immediate title fight without a step-up match and people are not okay with it.

This is stupid matchmaking… Izzy is great in. His own way but he gets back to back title shots after he lost the title. Why couldnt he have fought a contender. He should have been booked against Khamzat next, and Strickland get the rematch against DDP after beating Costa
