Daniel Cormier thinks the ongoing saga of Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson‘s fight should come to an end. The 57-year-old Tyson was preparing to face Paul for a fight on July 20. However, the former heavyweight champion had to cancel the match because of health issues. Subsequently, the promoters postponed the fight instead of canceling it. This did not go well with Cormier.
During a flight, Tyson experienced a severe case of an ulcer, which even caused the flight to be delayed. The paramedics later checked him, and the situation later came under control. Subsequently, this meant Tyson couldn’t train for the upcoming weeks before the match. Hence, the fight has been delayed to November, but Cormier remains adamant about avoiding it.

Since it was first declared, Daniel Cormier has opposed the Paul vs. Tyson match. The ex-UFC champion is opposed to witnessing the 57-year-old boxing icon face off against a 27-year-old. Hence, beyond the 30-year age gap, Cormier now believes that the medical emergency should have put a dent in any further matchmaking.
To further strengthen his case, Cormier showed his guest, Ben Askren, a video clip of Paul failing a lie detector test. This happened after he was questioned about his worries regarding Tyson’s well-being. While Paul failed the test because he was worried about him, he also failed the test when asked whether or not he could defeat Tyson.
