Is June facing a Saudi Arabia switch-up soon? The month marks the time when fans and enthusiasts can indulge in multiple exciting scraps. Coming soon on the menu is UFC on ABC 6: Whittaker vs. Chimaev. Middleweight’s top dog Robert Whittaker will take on the elusive “Boogeyman” Khamzat Chimaev in a pivotal bout.

However, cryptic notions from ‘The Reaper’ have come out alarming. UFC on ABC 6’s middleweight matchup is to have clear title No. 1 Contender’s implications. Moreover, it was to be the first fight since ‘Borz’ took on Kamaru Usman at UFC 294. Roughly fourteen hours ago, Robert Whittaker rocked expectations with a sudden cryptic post.

Tagging Rival Sports Management AU (@rivalsportsmanagement), the sponsor partners for UFC on ABC 6, Whittaker posted video highlights of past scraps. It does certainly air the notion of some change; what’s worse — there are current rumors that Khamzat Chimaev may be out of the bout. Though UFC Socials haven’t confirmed it, Ikram Aliskerov took it upon himself to repeat what the Australian Striker wrote.

The middleweight peer from Team KHK MMA is riding on a neat 15-1 streak. As a matter of fact, Aliskerov last fought on the same card as the Chechen (UFC 294). “Anyone Anywhere Anytime;” could only imply Whittaker’s readiness to fight anyone next. But Aliskerov pitching in provokes the worst-case scenario: is Chimaev out? For now, the Aussie middleweight has his sight set on the match.

Khamzat Chimaev’s last scraps emulate blueprints to success, says Robert Whittaker’s coach

Chimaev vs. Whittaker topping the UFC Saudi Arabia’s first Fight Night is a major stepping stone. The UFC Fight Night card airs free on ABC, marking a stellar event. Besides the subsequent title eliminator implications, the bout itself has quite the magnitude.

Chimaev hasn’t fought since facing Kamaru Usman. The BK Athén Club alum has an impressive 13-0 record using his freestyle wrestling skills. ‘Borz’ will pressure and swarm everyone in the first round. Most fighters struggle to overcome it. However, Chimaev has had questionable victories in some of his last outings. As such, Whittaker’s coach has identified certain things to help the ‘Reaper.’

The two last fights, especially ‘Durinho,’ the Gilbert Burns fight, I need to thank him for the blueprint… I think he gave a very clear path to victory by starting hard… I’m sure Usman is thinking this now – if he could go back and start that fight at a higher pace, he would. He starts 100 percent, we start 110 percent…

He fought gassed out, overexerting in the very first round, against Usman. He also missed weight at the UFC 279 Official Ceremonial weigh-ins, scaling at 178.5lbs. Khamzat Chimaev defeated Gilbert Burns at UFC 273 and got the unanimous nod (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) in an all-time thriller. However, many found his output not living up to its full hype.

Consequently, ‘Durinho’ gave Chimaev a run for his money. On the other hand, Robert Whittaker (25-7 MMA, 16-5 UFC) had a high-paced, violent back-and-forth at UFC 298’s co-main event at Honda Center. More used to five rounds, Whittaker and his corner thus think he can outpace Chimaev by going into overdrive.
