Raul Rosas Jr is making new waves every time he steps into the UFC octagon. The teenage prodigy is currently 4-1 in the promotion and has already made a huge following for himself. However, coming from a humble background, Rosas Jr has not forgotten his struggles before UFC. 

Raul Rosas Jr recently did an interview with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour. During the interview, Rosas Jr opened up about his financial problems before he joined UFC. According to the fighter, his family didn’t have a bed or couch. Now, with the UFC money, they are doing better than before.

Yeah, we’re are more comfortable. I have been able to provide for them more. Things, little by little, have gotten better. Like, before, when I was in Contender Series, we didn’t even have beds. We didn’t even have a couch. Now we have beds. Now we have a couch. Now I’m looking to buy a new house. I’m 19 years old, you know, so I’m blessed.

After a wonderful debut in the UFC, Raul Rosas Jr hit an obstacle when he lost to Christian Rodriguez via unanimous decision. However, ‘El Nino Problema’ made a comeback and is currently on a two-fight win streak. His last win came last weekend at the UFC Louisville against Ricky Turcios via a second-round submission. 

Rosas Jr. has his entire life ahead of him and is just starting his professional career. Even at this age, he is incredibly skilled and has not yet reached his peak. Rosas has lofty aspirations and believes everything is possible, including becoming the champion.

Raul Rosas Jr is currently 19 years old and is on his way to fight the top bantamweights in the future. Rosas Jr has the chance to win and break Jon Jones’ record of being the youngest-ever champion. With Jones making the record at 23 years old, Rosas has four years to chase his dream.

In the interview with Ariel Helwani, Rosas Jr revealed that with his next, he can get into the top 15 rankings. After that, the fighter plans to move up in the rankings and get his hands on the title. With this, he aims to break Jones’ record.

I think winning the next fight will give me a top 15. And then fighting like, three fights in the top 15… so probably like two or three years… That’s always been the main goal… I got four years to break it. I think I can make it happen.

Jones made his UFC debut at the age of 19 and was already fighting absolute killers. He competed with legends such as Stephan Bonnar, Ryan Bader, and Maurício Rua for the light heavyweight title. Nevertheless, Rosas has the opportunity to rewrite history and become the youngest-ever UFC champion.
