UFC CEO Dana White always promotes the idea that UFC’s behind-scenes work remains very tenuous. Nobody knows what comes next in the course of a day. He has often dealt with behind-the-scenes crises that are not always privy to the public. Some of it is now with Jon Jones sitting in the middle.

Cameras for Fight Inc: Inside the UFC — a new release, follow White and CBO/head litigator Hunter Campbell as they approach the heavyweight champion. ‘Bones’ suffered a pectoral tendon tear before his UFC 295. As he could not partake, top brass scrambled the legacy fight with Stipe Miocic. Jones was unaware of the MRI details indicating a full tear; cameras caught his real-time reaction.

I got the results [of the tear]… You’re out six months to a year, you have to go have surgery…[no] I swear on my life. Full tear…

So far, fans didn’t know how Jones found out the extent of his tear. At the very least, he did not know the severity of it all. A distressed Jon Jones almost broke to tears, learning about his diagnosis and a potential one-year pipeline of return. This isn’t the only such viral clip.

No…You’re lying…[pauses] I don’t want to cry in front of you two…

UFC’s new docuseries, Fight Inc: Inside the UFC, debuted on The Roku Channel. Premiering on June 7th, it details some vital backstage interactions and happenings throughout the last two quarters of 2023. UFC lightweight legend Khabib Nurmagomedov playing matchmaker was another viral one. Yet another Non-Jon Jones trivia included Dana White and Donald Trump in a viral interaction,

The tear had put ‘Bones’ out of action at Madison Square Garden in New York on just 12 days’ notice. On yet another note, the footage and the exchange provide a fresh perspective to the otherwise nonchalant Jon Jones. He is now fully recovered and awaiting his return. However, some situations had a bit more finality to them, as was the case with Robbie Lawler.

Lawler held the UFC welterweight undisputed gold between 2014 and 2016. However, ‘Ruthless’ faced the ruthless dose of reality that all good things must come to an end. After turning 41, he decided to hang up his gloves.

He got a rare good ending to his chapter at UFC 290 with his first-frame KO of welterweight Niko Price. Minutes later, ex-POTUS Trump was pleading with Lawler backstage not to retire. Check the footage down below, courtesy of Fight Inc: Inside the UFC.

The Republican Pary Nominee was once again in attendance at the T-Mobile Arena when Lawler brutalized Price in his final showdown. This isn’t a rare instance; Trump has gone viral in interactions with fighters many times. Inclusive of Alex Pereira, Jorge Masvidal, Sean Strickland, and others. Dana White and Colby Covington even visited him at the White House while he held tenure.

Unlike Jones, this interaction was a whole other bitter-sweet emotional moment. White nudged off-camera, and Trump pleaded with him too to keep Lawler on. The Roku documentary has been full of such viral nuggets.
