Strickland has ultraconservative views on society. He blamed multinational corporations for creating a situation that forced women to be part of the workforce. Since he is in the UFC, where CEO Dana White espouses free speech, Strickland has voiced his unfiltered opinion without any trouble. However, that is not the case with the major sports leagues in the USA, which are extremely liberal.
