Garcia is one of the most accomplished female BJJ practitioners. She is also part of the IBJJ Hall of Fame. Moreover, she also has a black belt in Judo. On JRE, Craig Jones left Joe Rogan in splits after the revelation of the grappling contest happening between him and the Brazilian BJJ legend.

Jones revealed the contest would be free to watch on YouTube. Rogan couldn’t believe what he heard, and he thought Jones calling out Garcia was just for fun. Nonetheless, he stated Garcia had the size advantage over Jones and allegedly might use more PEDs than Jones.
Jones even hilariously suggested he wanted comedian Joey Diaz to corner him against Garcia. He also revealed the controversial Alex Jones had expressed his interest in cornering him. Rogan suggested Diaz should commentate on the event, citing his comedian friend’s knowledge of BJJ.

In addition to being a successful BJJ practitioner, Gabi Garica has an undefeated professional MMA record in 7 fights. At 6’2″ and over 200lbs with a ripped physique, no female fighter couldn’t hang with Garcia in an MMA fight. However, she last fought in 2018, submitting Barbara Nepomuceno at Rizin 14.

She was to rematch Nepomuceno on April 24, 2024, but the Rio Grande do Sul floods affected her family, canceling the matchup. Nonetheless, Craig Jones had recently revealed Garcia accepted a grappling match with him.
Jones and Garcia have in the past flirted with grappling, eliciting hilarious moments. Jones, the BJJ coach of Alexander Volkanovski and Israel Adesanya, will likely be the favorite against Garcia despite his relatively small stature. Nonetheless, the matchup will surely grab a lot of eyeballs.
