Sean O’Malley would not tolerate some things. One of them is being the co-main event for a fight headlined by Ilia Topuria. O’Malley said this on a recent episode of his podcast. It is not that he feels he is better than Ilia Topuria but for a very specific reason.

Sean O’Malley recently sat down for a conversation on his TimboSugarShow podcast. During their discussion, O’Malley brought up Ilia Topuria.

Ilia Topuria, yeah, I would be upset. He’s too short. If he was taller than me, I’d say that’s fine. But the fact that he’s 5’4″, main eventing over me, that’d pi** me off.

O’Malley had called out Ilia Topuria after he successfully defended his title at UFC 299. However, Topuria responded saying that O’Malley had to go through Merab Dvalishvili first before he got to face him. Dvalishvili and O’Malley will fight this year although no specific dates have been made official yet.

UFC CEO, Dana White will host UFC 306 this September at The Sphere in Las Vegas. O’Malley and Dvalishvili are rumored to be throwdown at this event. It was this matchup that O’Malley was talking about when he contemplated being the co-main event. Will Ilia Topuria and Max Holloway headline the fight card?

If you ask me versus, there ain’t no damn doubt — I think I would finish Sean O’Malley without a damn doubt. The bigger question people ask me, how would I beat him? How would he beat me?
Patchy Mix recently on MMA Fighting.

At 30 years old, Patchy Mix has a professional record of 20 wins and 1 loss. He has been on a seven-fight win streak in Bellator since 2021. It will be interesting to see if he ever transitions to the UFC and throws down with the reigning bantamweight champion.
