UFC women’s flyweight contender Mariya Agapova faces dire trouble. Right on the cusp of bouncing back, she’s to face imminent homelessness. In a since-deleted IG post, she hailed her promotional matchmaker Mick Maynard for help. The flyweight fighter revealed many disturbing details with her post.
Agapova has had an average career in the UFC. As such, she voiced her angst on not being able to participate in yet other promotions due to her contract. There’s very limited participation on the matter allowed from UFC’s end. Now, the 27-year-old from Kazakhstan penned a heartfelt plea for help.
This is a classic of my life in America, becoming homeless right before a UFC fight…This is a fu*king classic! Next week I will be looking for a homeless shelter because I don’t trust people anymore…Since I don’t have money for rent, I live wherever I have to. People exploit me, and during this exploitation, they neglect my personal boundaries and my life. Including trying to sell me into s*x slavery behind my back…

The likes of Chase Hopper and Aljamain Sterling partake in extracurricular grappling. Sterling partook in the Fury Pro Grappling 8 headliner a while back. ADXC Jiu-Jitsu and Grappling Events also go similarly. Renato Moicano recently starred at UFC Fight Pass Invitational 17 ( #FP17). UFC Fight Pass streams such events. But the 10-4 WMMA flyweight Mariya Agapova isn’t pronounced for such stuff. Agapova thus issued a call for help.

Mariya Agapova had been trying to lock a fight since her round-2 submission skid to Gillian Robertson in 2022. The lack of activity has plummeted her pro-MMA standing only steeper. Luckily, The American Top Team Sunrise fighter has since booked a fight against Luana Santos for July 13. Now, it remains to be seen if the Dana White’s Contender Series 22 (DWCS) alum receives backing soon.

Over the years, top honcho Dana White has maintained a systemic correlation with his fighters, getting out of his way to help them when in need.

At the UFC Fight Night 210 (UFC Fight Night: Sandhagen vs. Song) post-fight presser, he thanked White for paying his rent for a year. He was hurdling to make ends meet back then.
