Sean O’Malley recently recounted a stressful ordeal on his YouTube podcast. The UFC featherweight champion was stunned as he witnessed police officers pulling over and raiding his home. O’Malley was in his home live streaming when he encountered this scary incident.  

During his popular YouTube podcast show, The TimboSugarShow, Sean O’Malley revealed that he was swatted by cops with automatic rifles. The fighter revealed that he was extremely cautious and did everything the cops asked him at that moment.

I got f**** shotguns pointed at me. AR’s from like four different cops pointed at me. I was like I’m just gonna listen and walk back…I was sitting in the back of that cop car in handcuffs and I was like, ‘Dude, that’s crazy. I had freedom five minutes ago. Now I have none. Zero’.

O’Malley then joked about his freedom being violated. In a matter of minutes, he went from playing online games to the back of a cop car. O’Malley was aware of such a scenario. In 2022 his friend and popular steamer Adin Ross was swatted too.

Sean O’Malley is currently one of the most popular fighters in the world with a massive fan base. The fighter is a showman and is well aware of the power of social media in this day and age. The bantamweight champion has claimed that he’s way more entertaining than other fighters and, hence has made more money.

During an interview with Eurosport, O’Malley talked about how other UFC fighters are boring and don’t utilize social media for their benefit. According to the fighter, he has made twice the amount of money through social media than his fight purses.

I’d say I am definitely the biggest name in the division, one of the biggest names in the UFC right now. A lot of other fighters, they can do better on social media, they’re just boring people…But they should at least try…I make twice as much money on social media than fighting

Last year, O’Malley defeated Aljamain Sterling by TKO to win the featherweight belt. After that, he faced Marlon Vera at UFC 299 to defend his title. The fighter is currently anticipated to face top contender Merab Dvalishvili at the upcoming UFC Sphere mega event. O’Malley potentially being in the main event of such a significant event is a testament to his huge following.
