Musicians Drake and Kendrick Lamar have been feuding for some time now. The duo has made diss tracks about each other, and people from the showbiz and sports worlds have already picked sides. The latest one from the sporting world to comment on the matter was Jon Jones, the UFC heavyweight champion.

Rampage Jackson had recently suggested Drake and Lamar should settle their feud in a fight, with him as a referee. Crossover boxing star Jake Paul sided with the Canadian musician and even offered to train him. Jon Jones has now picked his side in a Q&A session on X.

I’m not really deep into hip-hop like that. I’m more of a fan of Drake’s music, I find a lot of his stuff catchy. But I hear Kendrick is a better lyricist. Who are y’all rocking with?

Jones’ genres of music are R&B, Country, Gospel, and Reggae. Therefore, Jones is not privy to the works of hip-hop artists like Drake and Lamar even though he sided with the former in the beef. Moreover, Drake had bet big on Jones at UFC 285, where he returned from a layoff and captured the vacant heavyweight title, submitting Ciryl Gane.

More often than not, a player or team usually loses when Drake bets for their victory. It was the basis for the infamous ‘Drake Curse’. Jones, Israel Adesanya, and Alex Pereira are the few to break the curse. Periera was the recent one to break the curse, at UFC 300. Adesanya broke it against Pereria, at UFC 287.

Canelo Alvarez fought Jaime Munguia in the recent Cinco de Mayo boxing event. The promotion for the event had already gone viral as Golden Boy promoter Oscar De La Hoya and Alvarez had a war of words. Nonetheless, the distraction did not affect Alvarez, as he won the fight rather comfortably. Moreover, he even became the first person to defeat and knock down Munguia.

De La Hoya compared the fight to when Alvarez fought Floyd Mayweather Jr. Moreover, he even predicted Munguia would replace Alvarez as the face of boxing. Jon Jones enquired about Alvarez’s fight in a Q&A session on X. When he found out Alvarez had won, he applauded the Mexican.

Good for him [Canelo Alvarez], what a legend. I always find it hilarious when he starts cursing people out in English.

After the victory, Alvarez revealed he had options other than David Benavidez for his next fight, possibly against Terence Crawford. On the other hand, Jon Jones recently flirted with the idea of fighting Alex Pereira at heavyweight, disregarding interim champion Tom Aspinall.
