He disclosed what really happened in the team’s locker room, as compared to the rumors, where the doctor had conducted a physical examination to confirm his fitness. Pierce confirmed that he felt some form of discomfort during the procedure, but was bent on finishing the game, giving the game’s significance to both him and the Celtics.

Pierce said,

If I had to go to the bathroom or I sh** on myself. You think it would’ve took only two minutes? Come on now, let’s be real. Two minutes for me to change my shorts, my undershorts, wipe my a**, get a wet towel, dry off, shower, put some new stuff on, and go back out there?

Pierce has consistently refuted the infamous rumor, and in the latest episode of his podcast, The Truth Lounge, he aimed to definitively clarify the situation.
