Shaquille O’Neal is extremely tall (7 feet 1 inch), even by NBA standards. He also weighed well over 300 pounds during his professional career. It is highly unlikely that any basketball player in these circumstances will have exceptionally attractive feet. However, O’Neal seems to have unique feet, particularly regarding the toenail that he paints every time. He explained why he had painted his fingernail in one of his podcasts.

Shaquille O’Neal’s mother is the true reason behind his toe painting. He told T.I. and Jamal Crawford about his story on The Big Podcast and also discussed his regular self-care regimen with them.

Shaquille O’Neal said via The Big Podcast with Shaq:

My mom was like babe. Why are you not playing the game? So I told her and she did something and then she put some red polon on the thing and I had 40 in that game. I do like sparkles and designs and all that stuff.

O’Neal had a torn nail and was not playing the game, but his mother did the pain and convinced him to play. After that game, O’Neal loves to paint his nails and do some pedicures too. He even showed his painted nails on various occasions.

The former Laker has already shown off his painted toes while making an appearance on television or social media. During an episode of the basketball program “Inside the NBA on TNT” back in 2017, the basketball player removed his shoes and socks and took it all. In reaction to the numerous remarks, memes, and tweets, O’Neal treated himself to a pedicure at a nail salon and shared a video of the procedure to show some love for his despised feet.

Co-host Ernie Johnson called Shaq’s misshapen toe a “baked potato.” Shareef, O’Neal’s young son, apologized to the world on his father’s behalf in a tweet that sparked a wave of outrage on the Internet.
Even though Shaq dismissed the critiques of his toes at the time, it seems that he followed Charles Barkley’s suggestion, who repeatedly stated that Shaq needed a pedicure.

It’s funny how O’Neal never passes up an opportunity to make people laugh, and he frequently does it by telling stories or, occasionally, by his toes.
