It has been an interesting NBA Friday for fans as a few teams got into altercations today. But the most intense being between the Miami Heat and the New Orleans Pelicans which led to four players getting ejected.

It all started after Kevin Love fouled Zion Williamson which took him to the floor. This caused Pelicans teammates to come at Love to defend Williamson. Jimmy Butler joined the scuffle to defend his teammate. In the process, Butler and Naji Marshall got into an altercation and grabbed each other’s necks.

After the two were separated in a few seconds, Pelican’s Jose Alvarado and Heat’s Thomas Bryant came at each other. As the players were close to the scorer’s table, Pelicans fans got involved in the altercation. One of the fans even threw drinks at the players.

After all the players were separated, the referees reviewed the situation. With 11:19 minutes left in the fourth quarter, Butler, Marshall, Alvarado and Bryant were ejected. A Heat fan was also escorted out of the arena.

These days it is rare to see physical and verbal fights among players. As the NBA has changed about on-court altercations, fans get excited if any of the sorts occur during games. Similar situations took place on Friday.

The NBA world got excited after altercations during the Heat vs Pelicans game. Not one but two sets of players went for each other in a matter of seconds, resulting in four players getting ejected from the game. Fans reacted to the whole situation on Twitter:

The Miami Heat ended up winning the game (106-95) with Bam Adebayo scoring 24 points and 7 rebounds after Butler got ejected. Despite the ejection, Butler scored 23 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists.
