ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Steve Kerr’s agents confirmed to his network that Kerr has signed a 2-year contract worth $35 million. An average of $17.5 million makes Kerr the highest-paid NBA coach in history, toppling the contract signed by Erik Spoelstra which averages $15 million a year.

What caught the attention of fans is that Kerr’s contract will run until the end of the 2025-26 season. At the same time, Stephen Curry’s contract runs out. This sets them up for a potential last dance.

If he too signs a contract until 2026, that would mean the Warriors superstar trio and their head coach will leave collectively in 2026.
