One of the greatest basketball players in the world, Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks, doesn’t seem to carry his work back with him. In an interview with the media during the All-Star Game events in Indianapolis this past weekend, he acknowledged that he rarely watches basketball on television. Shannon Sharpe was not pleased with his remarks.

Following Antetokounmpo’s remarks, the former NFL player and renowned analyst couldn’t resist taking a shot at him. On his podcast Nightcap with Gilbert Arenas, he addressed the Buck star with a few words. He mentioned that Giannis didn’t study it or watch games. Additionally, he discussed the Milwaukee Bucks’ four-coach turnover.

Shannon Sharpe said via Nightcap,

It doesn’t help Gianni’s case when he says, Oh I don’t know, I don’t need to watch not film with a basketball play. That might explain why you have four coaches in a year.

Sharpe also talked about how players like Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant, and LeBron James admit to studying by watching games and their videos.

Arenas echoed Shannon’s remarks by enquiring about his midrange and Postup attempts. He mentioned that Giannis hasn’t gotten any better. Sharpe then made fun of Antetokounmpo for not studying the game every time he didn’t play well.

Giannis Antetokounmpo’s brother, Thanasis has been the subject of numerous jokes since he joined the NBA. Talking further, he gave credit for every bit of his success to his brother and talked about how he is a good father and especially a person.

Since 2019, Thanasis has shared the court with his brother, Giannis Antetokounmpo. In 2021, the two brothers shared a championship victory.
