Mahomes was addressing a crowd from the Chiefs’ celebratory parade. He was about to speak about the performance that was exhibited by the defense. While doing that, his wife Brittany was spotted saying something in his ears. Mahomes heard that and later told that in the microphone-
Yeah yeah, I am a regular quarterback.
He later continued his appreciation for the defense for their amazing performance.
There was no doubt that the Chiefs quarterback’s words were a cheeky dig at the 49ers safety. He was greeted with loud cheer and appreciation, and everyone enjoyed what Mahomes did.
During the Super Bowl LVIII. the Chiefs had a clutch victory from behind. In the first few minutes, the Niners kept on building the pressure and the Chiefs were unable to withstand it. Mahomes also held a grasp on the game much later. However, he threw an interception in the first half. Following that, the Niners safety made fun of him on the gridiron.
