The Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson is currently enjoying his off-season despite some doubts about his future in the league. The star quarterback recently spent some father-son time with his stepson Future Zahir as he took him to the NBA All-Star game. Ahead of the game, Zahir got to spend some time with Steph Curry, which led to a savage comment from Charles Barkley.

During TNT’s broadcast of the game, former player turned commentator Charles Barkley made a cheeky comment while seeing Russell Wilson’s 9-year-old stepson practicing hoops with the Golden State Warriors point guard. Barkley failed to recognize Wilson’s stepson and said the kid must be famous to get shooting lessons from Curry.

He must be somebody’s famous son cause you don’t get that close to Steph Curry unless your dad’s famous.
Charles Barkley said

Barkley was indeed right. All 3 parents of the 9-year-old Future Zahir are indeed famous. Zahir is the son of the famous music artist Ciara Wilson and her ex-boyfriend Future, who is also a popular rapper. Furthermore, Zahir’s stepdad Russell Wilson, who took him to the game is an elite NFL quarterback.

Russell Wilson and his stepson both wore Kobe Bryant’s iconic 8 and 24 jersey numbers and had fun at the game while rooting for the Western Conference. In a short video that went viral on social media, Wilson could be seen recording his son’s interaction with Steph Curry like a proud dad.

As for Steph Curry, he carried the NBA All-Star weekend. His 3-point contest with the WNBA star Sabrina Ionescu was one of the popular events from the weekend. He also dropped 16 points, registered 8 assists, and had 5 rebounds in the NBA All-Star game.

Following the sweet interaction between Steph Curry and Russell Wilson’s stepson, the Broncos quarterback took to social media to thank the Warriors point guard. Wilson also referred to Curry as the GOAT in the same post.

Russell Wilson has been spending a lot of time with his stepson. Just a few days ago, Wilson took him to an NBA game, where Zahir received a signed jersey from the Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum. And on Sunday, he got to hang out with the greatest shooter to ever step on the basketball court.

On the business side of things, Wilson is expected to be released by the Broncos ahead of the free agency. As of now, his future in the league remains uncertain.
