Following the Kansas City Chiefsโ victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday, Jason Kelce celebrated so enthusiastically that one might have assumed he had won the Super Bowl himself. When a video of the Philadelphia Eagles center having fun with his brother, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, went viral late on Sunday night, the internet embraced and lapped it up.
Travis was all praise for his older brotherโs demeanor that evening on the most recent installment of their New Heights podcast.
Nobody parties better than Jason Kelce–It was electric having my big brother around, dude. The one video of them showing me and Taylor [Swift] and then panning to you and Marshmello..
Travis said on the podcast.
Jason cut his brother off and said,
Itโs a very strong dichotomy ofโฆ
To which the Chiefsโ tight end laughingly replied,
Two just different worlds.
Funny enough, there was a fascinating backstory to the widely shared video of Jason having fun with well-known DJ and musician Marshmello while wearing a luchador mask. The All-Pro center apparently just decided to wear the mask later in the evening without cleaning it after finding it on the dance floor at the first venue they went to.
In any case, the mask elevated Jason to a new level. He gained more love from his brother and the internet as a result.
Travis Kelce talked about his relationship with Andy Reid amid their heated sideline bust-up
After being criticized by his brother, Jason Kelce, on their โNew Heightsโ podcast for shoving coach Andy Reid and yelling in his face during Super Bowl LVIII, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce declared that his behavior was โunacceptable.โ
โI did,โ Travis said when Jason told him he โcrossed the lineโ following his heated exchange with the HC on Sunday.
I can’t get that fired up to that point where I’m bumping Coach and it’s getting him off balance and stuff.
He further talked about his relationship with his coach.
I got a certain relationship with him… I couldn’t be, you know, more proud of being his product on the field, and I couldn’t be more proud of, you know, where we’ve come as a team since I got here in 2013, and I just love playing for the guy, man… I immediately wished I could take it back.
That did not affect the Chiefsโ play on the field though, as they went on to win the Super Bowl in overtime. Kelce had a much better second half and was one of the main reasons for the Chiefsโ win. They will now look to go for the three-peat next season.
