As we know, the League of Legends World Championship, aka Worlds 2023, is a thrilling tournament & is the pinnacle of LoL Esports. The top teams from every region from all over the world will fight to become Champions.
The tournament is already shaping up to be an exciting event as regions across the globe gather their best teams for the tournament, and winning Worlds 2023 will put their name on the prestigious Summernor Cup, and then there are in-game prizes & more for the players.
Well, the Worlds 2023 will be the end of the League of Legends Esports season. This year, Riot Games has made some changes to the format of the tournament.
First, this time, the World Championship Tournament will be starting a bit later than the usual schedule, and the event returns to South Korea after the country hosted the last leg of the tournament in 2018.
Furthermore, there’s a World’s Qualifying event, a best-of-three series, and a Swiss-style Stage this time. There will be 22 teams that will be participating in the tournament, and the teams have already started qualifying for the Worlds 2023.

Global Guardians from the LCS will be participating in the World Qualifying Series, and the matches will be Best of Five between the fourth seed of the LEC and LCS. The winner of this match will be awarded the final spot in League of Legends Worlds 2023.
