The NBA is all set for the annual All-Star Games in Indiana this weekend. While fans are looking forward to one of the biggest events of basketball. Not just fans but NBA players also enjoy these games as fans of basketball.

One of the most anticipated matchups is the 3-point contest between Warriors point guard Stephen Curry and Liberty’s Sabrina Ionescu during the All-Star weekend. While Curry is known as the 3-point King, Lonescu is also the one who broke his record last year. This is the first time an NBA player and a WNBA player will come together to compete against each other.

Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving was asked about his pick for the winner of the contest. He admitted that both of them are amazing shooters and incredible players. He said he respects their craft and the hard work they put in. But he said his pick would be Lonescu.

Irving continued saying that Lonescu has the record and she will try to defend that, while Curry on the other hand is coming to compete and try to get a win. Irving said that the contest will be interesting to watch.

Kyrie Irving is not selected as an All-Star this year

Kyrie Irving, who is known for his incredible handles and scoring ability is considered one of the best in the game. Despite being an 8-time All-Star, he was not selected in this year’s lineup for the game.

The Dallas Mavericks guard has been injured many times this season. He has missed almost half of Mavericks games, 21 out of 48. Hence despite averaging 25.2 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 5.4 assists, Irving fell short to get selected as one of the two reserved point guards for the game.

The All-Star games will be held this weekend in Indiana from Friday, February 16 to Sunday, February 18. The main game between the best of the NBA, Team East vs Team West will be the last event of the program.
