Cody Rhodes addresses his silent nature over WrestleMania 39 heartbreak against Roman Reigns, details his real-life struggles with that

Of course, Cody Rhodes is upset he couldn’t finish the story at WrestleMania 39. However, he does not want to whine over that. In fact, his tale to redemption is already in motion. Even after giving his heart out, Roman Reigns survived the American Nightmare through the defunct Bloodline’s interferences. The very next night on Raw, Rhodes asked Reigns for a rematch, which got denied.

But now, it’s been reported that WWE do plans on having their rematch at WrestleMania next year. That being said, Cody still has a long way to go. He recently had a chat with BT Sport’s Ariel Helwani. After being asked on why he avoids mentioning that disheartening loss against The Tribal Chief, Rhodes affirmed some valid points. He robustly claimed that it wasn’t easy for him to accept that defeat.

In fact, the story is still incomplete and he stays determined on getting his job done one day. Also, Rhodes detailed how getting himself ready for work post-WrestleMania was hard. Not only as a character, he faced difficulties in collecting himself from a human standpoint.

“I quickly didn’t get over it, it’s not a pain you get over, but I quickly was able to ‘chin up’ and move on to the next thing. Coming to Raw was really tough for me, from a character standpoint and a human standpoint. Very tough.”

Cody beat Mami’s little boy Dominik Mysterio this past Saturday at Money in the Bank. The former Intercontinental Champion is now headed to The Biggest Party of the Summer. And what shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone, Brock Lesnar is reportedly on his way back soon.

That being said, he’s almost certain to rekindle his grudge with Cody Rhodes. After passing out to The Beast at Night of Champions, Cody challenged Lesnar for a third showdown. However, that was held in air as Lesnar went on hibernation. Now, he’s advertised to appear on tonight’s Independence Day edition of Monday Night Raw.

It’s going to be something tonight in Baltimore. Furthermore, this time around, Cody & Lesnar won’t toil around in a traditional one-on-one match. To add, WWE is planning to add a stipulation to their final showdown, presumably. Fans don’t need to wait too long anymore. Things should clear out as soon as Raw airs tonight.
