In today’s fast-paced world, technology has become an integral part of our lives. From smartphones to laptops, we rely heavily on these devices to stay connected, informed, and entertained. However, with the constant advancements in technology, it’s important to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments. In this article, we’ll explore some of the most important tech trends that are shaping our world today.
Sergio Perez continues to struggle with disappointing performances as the Mexican driver served another underwhelming race in Canada. Despite being the closest competitor to Max Verstappenโs championship charge, Sergio Perezโs season has taken a significant downturn after a strong start. Regrettably, the Mexican has faced a series of lackluster performances leading up to the Canadian Grand Prix, which also proved unfavorable for him.
After a poor qualifying session, he was forced to start P12 and a Q2 exit. The race followed a similar, dismal theme after he only managed to finish in P6, behind both Ferraris. Speaking to F1TV, Perez expressed his frustration and confusion as he struggled to comprehend why he couldnโt catch up to the Ferrari team, especially considering their limited success with just one podium finish in the first eight races of the 2023 season.
He said, โIโm very, very concerned about [the inability to catch the Ferraris]. We just didnโt have the pace, and we didnโt understand why; thatโs the weird thing, so we have to figure it out. Weโve got to sit down and look back because we know what we are capable of, and itโs just important for us to understand whatโs going on,โ.
Perez attributed his torrid outing to the tires on his RB19. He added, โWe had a good start to the weekend, but we made some changes, we did the tires a little bit different, so I donโt know if thereโs anything in that,โ. The Mexicanโs title hopes are on the brink of evaporating, with Max Verstappen securing his fourth race win in a row and Perez marking his third consecutive race without a podium.

Sergio Perez blames the Safety Car for affecting his race
33-year-old Perez voiced his frustration regarding the safety car interventions during the race, which disrupted his opportunities after making a decent start. George Russell hit the wall with his right rear tire at Turn 9, leading to a full safety car deployment. Additionally, Perez highlighted Logan Sargeantโs Williams coming to a stop, activating the virtual safety car for two laps. These safety car periods hindered Perezโs chances and dissatisfied him with the raceโs outcome.
He elaborated, โI think the Safety Car basically took all the opportunity away, because it was looking good. We raced on that Hard tyre, and unfortunately didnโt pay it off.โ Despite the impact of the safety car incidents, it is undeniable that Sergio Perez had a disappointing performance at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. The Mexican driver struggled to showcase his potential and perform strongly throughout the race.
After a series of disappointing races, Perezโs chances of mounting a title challenge seem increasingly unlikely. With Fernando Alonso closely trailing behind him with 117 points compared to his 126 points, the Red Bull driver must elevate his performance in the upcoming weeks. The pressure is mounting, and Perez needs to step up his game to stay competitive in the championship.
His teammate Verstappen contrarily seems to be in the form of his life, securing victory effortlessly with every passing race. Perez has maintained optimism in the title fight thus far. However, with a gap of 69 points to the Dutchman, it may soon be time he focuses on solidifying P2 and fending off Fernando Alonso.
