On the MLK mural project in Wynwood, ‘Clearance trade!’ was added on Jimmy Butler‘s Jersey. Along with that, on the star’s headband, ‘I quit’ was written as Butler expressed losing ‘joy’ in Miami. That is not all, as they also added ‘Please pay me!’ on Butler’s mug considering the team’s contract frustrations with the player.
Butler has played five wonderful years with the Miami Heat. The 35-year-old was the crucial part of the team’s incredible playoff runs in the last few years. The All-star forward also popularized the ‘Playoff Jimmy’ title during his time with the Heat. Considering this, the insult on the murals by the locals was unexpected.

After the seven-game suspension by the team, now it seems as if the city is also turning its back on Butler and parting ways for good. Now, the focus will be on Butler’s future as many teams are expected to show interest in Butler.

NBA fans expected Jimmy Butler to be in the Miami Heat for a long time. Hence, his departure has taken the NBA world by storm. Considering Butler’s stunning resume, multiple teams are seen as a potential option for the forward’s next destination. Including the Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, and the Phoenix Suns.
However, now it seems like the Suns are ready to make some major changes to their roster. The decision of putting together the big 3 by adding Bradley Beal into the lineup, has not worked out for the team. As the team is rumored to be removing Beal and Jusuf Nurkic as starters, a spot may have been open for Butler.
Despite starting the season strong, Phoenix is 12th in the Western Conference standings. Adding Butler alongside Kevin Durant and Devin Booker might be the solution to all of the team’s problems. Butler’s defense will perfectly complement the two stars’ offensive dominance.
