Helmut Marko hints that Red Bull got lucky in Montreal, says Ferrari was the fastest team on both tire compounds

The following paragraph discusses the importance of teamwork in achieving goals and how it can benefit individuals in various aspects of their lives. Teamwork has been proven to be an essential ingredient in the success of any group or organization. Whether it is in the workplace, sports, or personal relationships, the ability to work collaboratively with others can result in achieving better outcomes than if one were to work alone. In this article, we will explore the benefits of teamwork, and how it can positively impact individuals both professionally and personally.

Helmut Marko, the Red Bull team adviser, has made it known that, in race trim, the Maranello-based Ferrari F1 team was the fastest. He believes his team was fortunate not to deal with their threat as they started in the midfield. Otherwise, things could have turned out differently for Max Verstappen.

With the Dutchmanโ€™s victory at the 2023 Canadian GP, Red Bull has now hit the 100-win mark in the sport, but Marko feels the victory did not come easily for the team. According to him, Verstappen was dealing with a plethora of issues during the race but was somehow able to bring his RB19 across the finishing line without any major hiccups.

While the Milton-Keyes-based team has amassed its 100th F1 win, Marko has made it clear that Ferrari also played its part in the teamโ€™s win. While shedding light on the same, he told Planet F1, โ€œI have to say, thank God Ferrari had to start so far back, because they were actually the fastest on both compounds,โ€.

The 80-year-old feels had Ferrari not had a terrible qualifying session at Gilles-Villeneuve Circuit; they would have been the favorites to win the Canadian Grand Prix. The SF-23 showed real pace on both hard and mediums during the race, and the Christian Horner-led team certainly noted it.

While Helmut Marko has applauded Ferrari for their strong pace at the Canadian GP, Red Bull is still the team to beat this year. The outfit has won all eight races so far and is looking like the favorite to secure victory in the remaining 14 races of the season. However, teams like Mercedes, Aston Martin, and Ferrari will try their best to stop that from happening.

As things stand, Red Bull is comfortably leading the Constrictors Championship with a mammoth 321 points to its name whereas the team in the second position has only managed to put 167 points on the board so far. That team is none other than the Toto Wolff-led Mercedes Formula 1 team.

Taking everything into consideration, would anyone be able to put a halt to the rampage that Red Bull is on this year? 14 Grand Prix are remaining on the 2023 calendar, and it going to be fascinating to see whether Max Verstappen and Co. would be able to come out victorious in all 14 of them.
