Conor McGregor shocked everyone in the combat sports world with the announcement of a potential boxing match against Logan Paul. According to ‘The Notorious,’ the bout is slated for 2025, with both fighters reportedly set to earn a staggering $250 million each. While initial skepticism surrounded the fight’s legitimacy, recent developments suggest it may indeed become a reality.

Reports suggested that the fight would take place in India, hosted by the billionaire Ambani family. However, given the massive investment, many experts raised questions about whether this is just a hoax. YouTuber KSI’s boxing promotion, Misfit Boxing, recently shared a video where they shared an insider scoop about the fight.

They’re in deep negotiations for the fight. Conor is interested and so is Logan. They’re targeting for April and the UFC are involved in talks as well. It’s all moving on in the right direction.

The most notable aspect of this update is the UFC’s reported involvement in negotiations for the potential bout. McGregor is still under contract with the UFC, making it extremely difficult to pursue opportunities outside the promotion. Although the UFC hasn’t officially confirmed its role, their involvement seems likely considering the enormous financial stakes tied to the fight.

That fight became the second-highest-grossing pay-per-view event in history, with the UFC undoubtedly securing a significant share of profits. It will be intriguing to see if things play out differently this time, given the evolving dynamics and circumstances.

For his boxing fight against Floyd Mayweather, the Irishman took home $130 million and has never looked back. Many fans have claimed that earning that much money changed the fighter which resulted in his downfall. Dana White also said something similar but still praised McGregor’s loyalty towards UFC.

It’s impossible for that money not to affect you…there’s never been a beef between UFC and Conor McGregor. He knows what he brought to the table but he also knows how the UFC (helped him)…once you start to make that kind of money…it’s impossible to never change.
