Sean O’Malley is one of the most exciting fighters in the UFC. Over the years, ‘Suga’ has been a dominant competitor in the promotion, except for his last fight. Interestingly, O’Malley also presents himself as a unique personality within the MMA community. To add to this uniqueness, Sean O’Malley’s coach, Tim Welch, recently provided a sneak peek of the training facility for the former bantamweight champion.
Top MMA coach Tim Welch posted a video on his YouTube channel where he majorly showcased his new house. The property is spanned across 2 acres of land and is quite close to his friend and fighter Sean O’Malley’s training facility. As the video went on, Welch gave a glimpse of the former UFC bantamweight champion’s training dome filled with amenities.
Welch showcased the ‘Suga Factory’, which featured a full-sized MMA octagon. In addition, it also had the Montana native’s luxurious cars, including a Lamborghini and a Ferrari, within the facility. Interestingly, O’Malley has highlighted his training facility on multiple occasions.
After his defeat against Merab Dvalishvili at Noche UFC (UFC 306), Suga even shared a video of himself bidding farewell to his bantamweight crown. The video was filmed at the same training facility (Suga Factory) where O’Malley trains.
Welch noted that ‘Suga’ spends most of his time training there at the moment as he is in a social media detox mode. He also discussed the benefits of the training facility, emphasizing that its location on private property is a significant advantage for a fighter like O’Malley. This raises the question of who the former bantamweight champion should face in his next fight.
‘Matchmaker’ Daniel Cormier names an opponent for Sean O’Malley
Sean O’Malley took a break after his defeat against Merab Dvalishvili primarily due to hip complications, which required surgery. However, he soon expressed a desire to rematch Dvalishvili for the belt. Currently, this may not be possible as the Georgian fighter will defend his title against Umar Nurmagomedov at UFC 311. This situation leaves uncertainty regarding O’Malley’s next potential opponent in the promotion.
UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier has been closely observing the happenings within the UFC community. A month ago, he spoke about the bantamweight division, which is filled with several promising contenders. During this discussion, Cormier also provided matchmaking suggestions for the former bantamweight champion, O’Malley.
Cormier noted that the ongoing tension between O’Malley and Henry Cejudo would be a significant draw for the UFC. Interestingly, Cejudo has previously expressed his desire to fight the Montana native. Given this context, it will be fascinating to see how the promotion approaches this intriguing matchup between two former champions.
